Ginos Italian Ristorante of Boise, Idaho - The Best in Authentic Italian (Take it From an Italian!)

If you have had enough of the standard "Italian" restaurant fare, then you should visit Gino's Italian Ristorante in downtown Boise, Idaho. At Gino's you will be delighted with the richest, freshest flavors, tantalizing textures, and lovely service and atmosphere. Located in lively (and very much revitalized, as of late) downtown Boise at the 8th street marketplace, you will find that the romantic balcony location sets the stage for a culinary experience that is head-and-shoulders above the other "Italian" restaurants that abound.

One of the things I appreciate most about Gino's is the quality and uniqueness of the dishes served. Being of Italian heritage, I am somewhat picky about my Italian food. I am usually bored with the mass-produced, poorly constituted, over-salted tomato sauces that cover many entrees in your average establishment. For some time, I thought that I would never find a tomato sauce that could match my Italian mother's signature marinara. Well, with all apologies to Mom, Gino's has one of the most robust, rich, and flavorful sauces I have ever had. Your tastebuds will revel in the fresh sweet tomato combined with the freshest spices and flavorings. And this is just the sauce, mind you. The pasta is always cooked to delicious al dente perfection. The cheeses are always so rich, creamy, and alive with flavor (they are imported from Italy). And the meats are always top-grade and prepared to exacting specifications. They always have very interesting and unusual dishes that pleasantly surprise, in addition to many of the Italian cuisine "standards". My personal favorite is the lasagna. I originally thought it was a strange way to make lasagna, but now I prefer my lasagna to have top-choice chuck roast instead of the usual ground beef. I think it may of even had prosciutto in it. I hate to keep gushing, but I just could not find anything to complain about at Gino's. From the complimentary bread and olive oil, alluring appetizers, enticing entrees, and decadent desserts (love the Tiramisu!), Gino's is well worth the visit.

If you try Gino's, expect the entrees to be in the 12-20 dollar range. I consider it to be very reasonable for such high quality foods and services.

One of my favorite things about Gino's is that the waiters/waitresses are always so knowledgeable, and often downright entertaining. They explain the entrees with such depth of knowledge, fresh exuberance, and colorful imagery. It's like watching true artisans with their craft. They are always attentive and will treat you as a real V.I.P.

I suppose it goes without saying that I am a big fan of Gino's Italian Ristorante. I suspect that other people with similarly discriminating taste will agree.
