Italy is a modern-word country, which did not forget its traditions and rituals. There are many events throughout the year in every town or village.

Italy's festivals are the best way to get in touch with its people and traditions. Italians are very proud of their origins and massively take part in their country Fairs, usually driven around typical Italian Traditional Food.

There are world-famous Festivals in Italy, such as the Palio in Siena (Tuscany), the San Gennaro Feast in Naples or Venice Carnival, Saint Efisio Festival in Cagliari (Sardinia). But, besides these main events you could find many other interesting Festivals in the small cities or villages.

Religious Celebrations are spread throughout the year, but concentrate around Christmas and Easter. Many people are deeply devoted to Catholic Church's Saints and every Italian country or village has its Patron Saint which is always honored in an annual Feast

There are also many Historical Parades, Medieval Celebrations, and Pageants or Palios. These kind of Festivals, usually in Castles or Medieval Villages, take you back in time through History.
